Section § 106000

This part shall be known and may be cited as the Monterey-Salinas Transit District Act.

Section § 106001

Explanation

This section is defining specific terms used in the Monterey-Salinas Transit District regulations. These include what is meant by 'agency,' which refers to the Monterey-Salinas Transit Joint Powers Agency. 'Board of directors' means the governing board of the Monterey-Salinas Transit District, while 'board of supervisors' refers to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. 'County' is specifically talking about Monterey County, and 'district' refers to the transit district established in another section.

As used in this part, the following terms have the following meanings:
(a)CA Public Utilities Code § 106001(a)  “Agency” means the Monterey-Salinas Transit Joint Powers Agency, a joint exercise of powers agency.
(b)CA Public Utilities Code § 106001(b)  “Board of directors” or “board” means the Board of Directors of the Monterey-Salinas Transit District.
(c)CA Public Utilities Code § 106001(c)  “Board of supervisors” means the Monterey County Board of Supervisors.
(d)CA Public Utilities Code § 106001(d)  “County” means Monterey County.
(e)CA Public Utilities Code § 106001(e)  “District” means the Monterey-Salinas Transit District created by Section 106010.
