In addition to other applicable civil or criminal penalties, any person convicted of a violation of this chapter is guilty of an infraction, which is punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) per day that the violation continues. Each day of violation is a separate offense.

If someone breaks the rules in this chapter, they can face additional penalties beyond other civil or criminal ones.
They will be guilty of an infraction, and can be fined up to $1,000 for each day they continue to break the rule. Each day counts as a new offense.

(a)CA Public Resources Code § 70031(a) Any person who violates this chapter is subject to a civil penalty of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000) per day for each day that the violation continues.
