Section § 26591

Explanation

This law section allows a district to receive financial or other types of help from both public and private sources. It can then use these funds for any purposes that fall under this division of the law.

A district may accept financial or other assistance from any public or private source and may expend any funds so accepted for any of the purposes of this division.

Section § 26592

Explanation

This law section states that when a local government, the state, or any related agencies give contributions, these contributions are considered to serve a public purpose.

Contributions by a local agency, the state, or any instrumentality or political subdivision thereof, are hereby declared to be for a public purpose.

Section § 26593

Explanation

This law allows a district to borrow money or take on debt from various sources, including local agencies, state entities, the federal government, or private sources. The district must meet any conditions set by the lender when taking on this debt.

A district may borrow money from or otherwise incur an indebtedness to a local agency, the state, any instrumentality or political subdivision thereof, the federal government, or any private source, and may comply with any conditions imposed upon the incurring of that indebtedness.

Section § 26594

Explanation

This law allows a district to pay back any financial aid it received under a specific section.

A district may repay any financial assistance accepted pursuant to Section 26591.

Section § 26595

Explanation

This section allows a district to pay back the local agency for some or all of the costs and expenses it had to pay when forming the district.

A district may reimburse the local agency for all or any part of the cost and expenses incurred by the local agency in formation of the district.
