Section § 12121

Explanation

This law makes it illegal for certain people to do several things related to pest control. They must show they are qualified to be a pest control dealer and keep the director informed about their address. They must also follow specific pesticide-related rules. It's against the law to lie or hide important facts when applying for or renewing a license. Furthermore, making false claims or misleading promises about pesticides or pest control methods is prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person who is subject to this chapter to do any of the following:
(a)CA Food And Agriculture Code § 12121(a) Fail to demonstrate to the director qualifications to act in the capacity of a pest control dealer.
(b)CA Food And Agriculture Code § 12121(b) Fail to notify the director of any transfer or change of address.
(c)CA Food And Agriculture Code § 12121(c) Fail to comply with the provisions of this division or Division 7 (commencing with Section 12501) relating to pesticides or the rules and regulations adopted pursuant to those provisions.
(d)CA Food And Agriculture Code § 12121(d) Make false or fraudulent statements, or misrepresent or fail to disclose any material fact in making application for a license or renewal of license.
(e)CA Food And Agriculture Code § 12121(e) Make any false or misleading statements or promises of a character likely to influence, induce, or deceive, or publish, or cause to be published, or distributed or displayed any false or misleading literature or advertisement, concerning any pesticide or method of pest control.
