Section § 2342
This law says that veterinarians are responsible for enforcing health and sanitation rules for livestock, poultry, and rabbits in the county. They must also make sure any rules or orders made by the county's board of supervisors regarding these animals are followed in unincorporated areas, which are regions not governed by their own local municipal corporation.
The veterinarian shall enforce throughout the county all of the provisions of this code which relate to the health and sanitary surroundings of livestock, poultry, and rabbits. This law allows a veterinarian to set up quarantine and health rules in their area if they think it's needed.
The veterinarian may establish such quarantine, sanitary, and other regulations within his jurisdiction as he deems necessary.
