Section § 53341

Explanation

This law says that if someone starts a legal case related to a demand warrant or a time warrant within four years of the warrant's issue or maturity date, and they win the case, the warrant must be paid as if the payment happened before the four-year deadline.

If an action or proceeding based upon, or connected with, a demand warrant is commenced within four years after the date of the warrant, or within four years after the maturity of a time warrant, and final judgment is in favor of the holder or owner thereof, the warrant shall be paid the same as if it had been paid before the expiration of four years from the date of the warrant.

Section § 53342

Explanation

This law section states that if there's a dispute over how much money a government board owes someone, the court will figure out the amount using the same process as in other civil cases. After deciding the amount, the court can order the board to pay it.

In any proceeding to compel the board to issue a warrant, if a controversy arises as to the amount that is due to the plaintiff, the court shall determine the same in the manner provided for determining controversies in other civil actions, and shall cause a writ to issue for any sums found to be due.
