Section § 33115
This law states that on October 19, 1937, the Coachella Valley Storm Water District in Riverside County was merged into the Coachella Valley County Water District as per Chapter 469 of the 1937 statutes.
Section § 33116
This law explains that after a county water district merges, the surviving district will include all the land that was part of the district at the time of the merger. It will also include any land added or removed by legal procedures after the merger.
Section § 33117
This law section simply states that the name of the remaining district is Coachella Valley County Water District.
Section § 33118
This law states that after a merger or reorganization, the remaining district continues to operate as a public agency under the state government.
Section § 33119
When two districts merge, the existing storm water district is dissolved, meaning it no longer exists. As a result, all the positions held by its trustees and officers are eliminated.
Section § 33120
When two county water districts combine, the people who are currently serving as directors and officers of the original district continue in their roles in the new, merged district.
Section § 33121
When two districts merge, the one that continues takes over all the properties, rights, and contracts from both districts involved.
