Section § 17002
This law states that a specific department must carry out certain activities aimed at helping welfare recipients, particularly those in the CalWORKs program, find employment. These activities include setting up a council of 13 business leaders to advise on recruitment efforts, establishing an online resource to help companies hire these recipients, and organizing forums with faith-based and civic leaders to support employment goals for aid recipients.
