Section § 45025

Explanation

This law states that violating specific waste disposal rules in California can lead to serious consequences. If you improperly dispose of waste, you could be fined between $500 and $10,000 for each violation. If certain aggravating factors are present, such as lying on a permit application or not fixing a problem after being warned, you might also face up to six months in jail. Each unlawful disposal counts as a separate offense. Additionally, if found guilty, you might have to clean up the waste you disposed of illegally or cover the cleanup costs.
