Chapter 13Ventura County Resource Conservation District
Section § 9970
This law section specifies that the rules outlined in the chapter apply exclusively to the Ventura County Resource Conservation District. Furthermore, whenever the term “district” is mentioned in this chapter, it refers specifically to this district.
Section § 9971
This law states that unless specified differently in this chapter, the way the district is organized and operates is determined by the rules in this division.
Section § 9972
In California, if an area within a district becomes part of a city because of incorporation or annexation, it can leave the district when it officially joins the city. This separation follows certain steps outlined in another law. Once separated, any leftover funds are split between the city and district based on property values. 'Unencumbered funds' are leftover money after covering existing debts. If the district owes money through bonds, the excluded area still has to pay its share of the debt.
