Section § 32603

Explanation

This section defines terms related to the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. The 'Board' is the governing board of this Conservancy. The 'Conservancy' refers to the organization itself, which oversees the area often referred to as the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. The 'Territory' covered by the Conservancy includes parts of Los Angeles and Orange Counties, focusing on areas around the San Gabriel River, lower Los Angeles River, San Gabriel Mountains, Dominguez Channel watershed, and Santa Catalina Island.

The description includes specific watersheds and excludes any land under the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy's domain. It lists cities and areas within the territory and clarifies that other state conservancies' jurisdictions are unaffected by these definitions.
