Section § 1121

Explanation

This California law allows county boards of supervisors to take various actions for developing and maintaining homes, such as purchasing or acquiring necessary property, and managing or improving it. They can also construct, furnish, and repair buildings, hire necessary staff, and supply for maintenance. County supervisors are authorized to levy special taxes for these purposes, establish a specific fund, and transfer money from the general fund as needed. They can also issue bonds for funding or collaborate with incorporated cities to achieve these goals.

For the purposes of this chapter the board of supervisors of any county may:

(d)CA Military and Veterans Code § 1121(d) Establish a fund for the purposes of this chapter, and transfer from the general fund to such fund such moneys as the board deems necessary.
(e)CA Military and Veterans Code § 1121(e) Incur, in the manner provided by law, a bonded indebtedness on behalf of the county for any of the purposes of this chapter.
(f)CA Military and Veterans Code § 1121(f) Join with any incorporated city in the county in the accomplishment of the purposes of this chapter and to that end hold jointly with such city all property acquired, and expend money in conjunction with such city.
