Section § 14080

Explanation

If someone intentionally alters the fingerprints or photos required by certain insurance regulations, they commit a serious crime called a felony. For other violations of these insurance rules, the person is guilty of a less severe crime, a misdemeanor, which can involve a fine up to $500, up to one year in county jail, or both.

Any person who knowingly falsifies the fingerprints or photographs submitted under subdivision (f) of Section 14024 is guilty of a felony. Any person who violates any of the other provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment in the county jail not to exceed one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
