Section § 1410

Explanation

This law allows the department to either suspend or revoke a license if rules are broken that are set by this chapter. If a licensee breaks these rules, they'll face a financial penalty equal to the money they earned from the violation. Also, any procedures for suspending or revoking a license will follow specific legal steps outlined in another section, Section 100171.

The department may suspend or revoke licenses issued under this chapter for violation of any provisions of this chapter or rules and regulations promulgated hereunder. In addition, the department shall assess a civil penalty in the amount of fees received by a licensee as a result of a violation of any provisions of this chapter or rules and regulations promulgated hereunder. Proceedings to suspend or revoke a license shall be conducted pursuant to Section 100171.

Section § 1411

Explanation

If someone with a professional license in certain fields breaks the rules outlined in this chapter or its related regulations, they risk having their license suspended or revoked.

A violation of the provisions of this chapter or rules and regulations promulgated hereunder by a person licensed pursuant to Division 2 (commencing with Section 500) or a person certificated or licensed pursuant to Chapter 17 (commencing with Section 9000) of Division 3 of, the Business and Professions Code may be grounds for suspension or revocation of the person’s license under such division.

Section § 1412

Explanation

This law states that if someone refers people without having the necessary license, they can be fined. The fine will equal what they illegally made, and the Attorney General will take legal action to collect it.

Any person, association or corporation referring persons without a license in violation of Section 1400 shall be liable for a civil penalty in the amount of the remuneration illegally recieved, which shall be assessed and recovered in a civil action brought in the name of the people of the State of California by the Attorney General in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Section § 1413

Explanation

Money collected from civil penalties under this article must be used to support the administration of the rules found in this chapter.

Civil penalties collected pursuant to this article shall be used to administer the provisions of this chapter.
