This law states that a city is not obligated to hire someone if they have reached the retirement age set by the city's retirement system for that job. Essentially, cities do not have to employ retirees past the age designated for retirement in their specific roles.
This article does not require nor authorize any city to employ any person in a particular city employment if he has attained the retirement age for that particular employment prescribed by any city employees’ retirement system.
