California Early Intervention Services ActData Collection
Section § 95026
This section mandates that the lead agency in California responsible for early intervention services must keep track of data required by the federal Office of Special Education Programs. This data includes information on the number of eligible infants and toddlers who need services and those who receive them, as well as the types of services provided. Additionally, other agencies involved must help create this data system and cooperate with the lead agency. The use of existing systems and social security numbers might be considered to aid in data collection. Moreover, the collected data should be utilized to enhance service delivery and improve the transition process for children and families from Part C to Part B of the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
