Section § 13060

Explanation

This law explains when certain rules about automated teller machines (ATMs) do not apply. Specifically, the rules don't apply to ATMs inside buildings unless the ATM is the only thing inside. They also don't apply if the ATM can be used from outside the building or is located in places not controlled by the ATM operator, like a parking lot that's not theirs.

The provisions of this division shall not apply with respect to any automated teller machine which is:
(a)CA Financial Code § 13060(a) Located inside of a building, unless it is a freestanding installation which exists for the sole purpose of providing an enclosure for the automated teller machine.
(b)CA Financial Code § 13060(b) Located inside of a building, except to the extent a transaction can be conducted from outside the building.
(c)CA Financial Code § 13060(c) Located in any area, including any access area, building, enclosed space, or parking area which is not controlled by the operator.
