Explanation

This law requires that associations pay any fees that are specified under this division to the appropriate department.

Associations shall pay all fees required by this division to the department.

Section § 9001

Explanation

This law section explains that the commissioner is responsible for deciding and setting the fees for various applications related to this division. The fees are determined through regulations. If a specific fee isn't stated in the division, the commissioner can still charge up to $100 for applications requiring their approval.

(a)CA Financial Code § 9001(a) Except where otherwise expressly provided, the commissioner shall prescribe by regulation the amount of each fee expressly required by the provisions of this division, including both existing provisions and provisions that are added by future enactments.
(b)CA Financial Code § 9001(b) The commissioner may require, and prescribe by regulation the amount of a fee not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100), for filing any application that requires the commissioner’s approval where a fee is not expressly required by the provisions of this division.
