Chapter 5Loan Operations
Section § 32600
This law section states that a finance officer in California cannot authorize loans unless certain conditions are met. The loan must either be backed by a guarantee from the Small Business Administration or another government entity with at least a 50% guarantee, involve participation with the Small Business Administration as a small business investment or local development company, or make up less than 16% of the total financing package with other lenders. However, these rules do not apply to loans made under a specific section, 32724.
Section § 32601
This law states that a corporation can't offer financial support for an application unless it's a special project. Also, the application has to go through a specific review process outlined by the board.
