Chapter 9Pesticide Dealer Designated Agent
Section § 12251
This law states that if someone wants to work as a designated agent for a pest control dealer, they must have the proper license specifically for a pest control dealer designated agent.
Section § 12252
If you want to be a designated agent for a pest control dealer in California, you need to fill out an application form from the state. The application requires your name, address, and any other information the state asks for. You'll also need to pay a fee. The license you get will expire on December 31st of the last year it's valid for.
You can renew your license before it expires by submitting a new application and paying another fee. If you pay late, you'll have to pay an extra penalty fee.
Section § 12253
Before someone can get their first pest control dealer license in California, they must pass a test. This test shows that they understand the laws about using and selling pesticides and know their responsibilities in the pest control business.
Section § 12254
If you meet all the necessary requirements to be a pest control dealer designated agent in California, the director will give you a license to operate.
Section § 12255
If you are a licensed pest control dealer's designated agent in California and you move to a new address, you need to let the director know right away.
Section § 12256
This law allows the director to create rules and regulations that are necessary to carry out the purposes of the chapter.
Section § 12257
This law allows the director to deny, take away, or put on hold a pest control dealer agent's license if they break the rules in this chapter or another set of related rules. There must be a hearing before doing this, and the hearing has to follow certain government procedures.
Section § 12258
This law makes it illegal for individuals, who are under the scope of this chapter, to do several things associated with the pest control business. They must notify authorities of address changes and comply with pesticide-related regulations. It prohibits making false statements or failing to disclose important information when applying for or renewing licenses. Additionally, it's against the law to make false records or reports related to pesticides or the pest control business. Lastly, failing to properly supervise employees in pesticide sales and maintaining responsibility for the pest control business is also prohibited.
