Section § 23981

Explanation

If you're transporting sheep, you must have a bill of lading with you. This document needs to include both the name of the sheep's owner and where the sheep are being taken.

A person shall not transport any sheep, unless the sheep are accompanied by a bill of lading which shows all of the following:
(a)CA Food and Agriculture Code § 23981(a) The name of the owner of the sheep.
(b)CA Food and Agriculture Code § 23981(b) The destination of the sheep.
