The boards of supervisors of any county may appropriate and use county funds for the support and maintenance of extension work in agriculture and home economics. The extension work shall be designed for the benefit of the respective counties and conducted under the approval of the United States Department of Agriculture and in cooperation with the University of California.

This law allows county boards in California to use county funds to support agricultural and home economics projects that benefit their local area. These projects must be approved by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and work in partnership with the University of California.
