Section § 1428

Explanation

This law explains that obligations, which are duties to do something, can come from two places: a contract made between people, or automatically from the law itself. If the obligation comes from the law, it can be enforced through legal procedures or by taking the issue to court.

One—The contract of the parties; or,
Two—The operation of law. An obligation arising from operation of law may be enforced in the manner provided by law, or by civil action or proceeding.
