Section § 26080

Explanation

This law says that businesses with a cannabis license in California cannot take cannabis or cannabis products outside the state, unless there's a special rule outlined in Chapter 25. Also, local areas can't stop these licensed businesses from transporting cannabis on public roads as long as they follow the state rules.

(a)CA Business and Professions Code § 26080(a) Except as provided in Chapter 25 (commencing with Section 26300), this division does not authorize or permit a licensee to transport or distribute, or cause to be transported or distributed, cannabis or cannabis products outside the state.
(b)CA Business and Professions Code § 26080(b) A local jurisdiction shall not prevent transportation of cannabis or cannabis products on public roads by a licensee transporting cannabis or cannabis products in compliance with this division.
