Explanation

Binago ng batas ang pangalan ng Peninsula Corridor Study Joint Powers Board sa Peninsula Rail Transit District. Nagbibigay din ito sa distrito ng karagdagang kapangyarihan tulad ng detalyado sa mga sumusunod na kabanata.

Section § 160002

Explanation

This law outlines the composition of a district board, which consists of nine members. Each member is appointed by different local government bodies. Specifically, the municipal railways and transit districts of San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara each appoint one member. Additionally, the Boards of Supervisors in these areas, the Mayor of San Francisco, and the city councils within San Mateo and Santa Clara counties collectively appoint the remaining members.

The district board shall be comprised of nine members appointed as follows:
(a)CA Utilities ng Pampubliko Code § 160002(a) The governing bodies of the municipal railway operated by the City and County of San Francisco, the San Mateo County Transit District, and the Santa Clara County Transit District shall each appoint one member.
(b)CA Utilities ng Pampubliko Code § 160002(b) The Boards of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco, the County of San Mateo, and the County of Santa Clara shall each appoint one member.
(c)CA Utilities ng Pampubliko Code § 160002(c) The Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco shall appoint one member.
(d)CA Utilities ng Pampubliko Code § 160002(d) The city councils of cities within the County of San Mateo, shall jointly appoint one member.
(e)CA Utilities ng Pampubliko Code § 160002(e) The city councils of cities within the County of Santa Clara shall jointly appoint one member.
