Chapter 3
Section § 33812
The Salton Sea Conservancy has been set up as a state body under the Natural Resources Agency. Its main jobs are to run and look after projects linked to the Salton Sea Management Program, making sure California fulfills its water duties. Also, the conservancy is in charge of getting and managing land and property rights, like access rights and water rights, in the Salton Sea area once cleanup projects are done. The conservancy's work is only for the Salton Sea region.
Section § 33813
This section explains that the conservancy is responsible for running programs, projects, and activities that support its goals as outlined in another section. The conservancy can do this by spending money, giving grants and loans, involving community members, and addressing any issues that may block its progress.
