Section § 1480

Explanation

This law allows the fee for burying the spouses or children of eligible veterans in certain cemeteries to be waived if their families can't afford it. If the fees are waived, the cost is covered by nonstate funds instead.

The cemetery administrator is encouraged to seek reimbursement from federal, county, and local agencies to recover any lost fees. Additionally, they can ask for private donations to help cover these costs.
