(a)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a) For the purposes of this particular section, the subsequent terms are to be understood with the following definitions:
(1)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(1) “Agricultural employee” refers to an individual engaged in employment within any of the following categories:
(A)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(1)(A) An agricultural occupation, as precisely defined within Wage Order No. 14 issued by the Industrial Welfare Commission.
(B)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(1)(B) An industry involved in the preparation of agricultural products for market, specifically on the farm, as precisely defined within Wage Order No. 13 issued by the Industrial Welfare Commission.
(C)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(1)(C) An industry concerned with the handling of products subsequent to harvest, as precisely defined within Wage Order No. 8 issued by the Industrial Welfare Commission.
(2)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(2) “Board” designates the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board.
(3)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(a)(3) “Wildfire smoke” signifies emissions originating from fires occurring in “wildlands,” as precisely defined in Section 3402 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, or within adjacent developed areas.
(b)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(b) The division is mandated to review and update the content of the training specified in Section 5141.1 of Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, and shall thereafter publish this updated content on its official internet website.
(c)CA Paggawa Code § 9110(c) The training provided by the employer must be delivered in a language and manner that is readily comprehensible to employees, taking into careful consideration their ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as their education levels, including the necessary use of pictograms where appropriate.
