By using the Legalfina.com website (the “Site”) at any capacity, you agree that you have read, will follow and be bound by the terms outlined here as well as the terms found on our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and our Cookies Policy (collectively henceforth referred to as the “Terms”), and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including United States export and re-export control laws and regulations. In these Terms, the words “you” and “your” refer to each customer, Site visitor, or Application user, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Legalfina, Inc. its assignees, affiliates and subordinates (“Legalfina”) and “Services” refers to all services provided by Legalfina.

It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically. If at any time you find the Terms unacceptable or if you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site. Communications between you and Legalfina are protected by our Privacy Policy but not by any attorney-client privilege or as work product. Legalfina provides access to independent attorneys and self-help services at your specific direction. We are not a law firm nor a substitute for an attorney or law firm. We cannot provide any kind of advice, explanation, opinion, or recommendation about possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, options, selection of forms or strategies.

We provide general information approved by licensed attorneys on commonly encountered issues for individuals and families going through transitions. Because the law changes rapidly, we cannot guarantee that all the information on the Site is completely current. The law is different from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and may be subject to interpretation by different courts. Legal Document Assistants cannot advise you about your legal rights or the law. This is a contract between Legalfina Inc., and you, for the self-help services provided. Legalfina is the 'Legal Document Assistant' and you are the 'client.'

You are not represented by an attorney.
You are not a client of Legalfina.
You understand that Legal Document Assistants are not attorneys and cannot represent you in court.
You understand that Legal Document Assistants cannot advise you about your legal rights or the law.
The county clerk has not evaluated or approved our knowledge or experience or the quality of our services
Legalfina cannot keep your original documents and will not be liable for not doing so
Legalfina cannot obtain special favors from, and does not have any special influence with, any court or any state or federal agency

The Kinds of services we can perform for you: We can perform the following self-help services for you in connection with a legal matter in which you are representing yourself: We can type or otherwise complete, as you specifically direct, legal documents that you have selected. We can provide you general published factual legal information that has been written or approved by an attorney, to help you represent yourself. We can provide you published legal documents. We can file and serve legal forms and documents as you specifically direct. These are the only kinds of services that we can perform for you. We cannot provide you with any additional services. If you need additional services, then you require the services of an attorney. Kinds of services that we cannot perform for you: We cannot provide you any self-help service unless you are representing youreslf in a legal matter and the self-help service relates to that legal matter. We cannot engage in the practice of law. This means that we cannot give you any kind of advice, explanation, opinion, or recommendation about possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, strategies or options that you may have. We cannot give you any advice, explanation, opinion or recommendation regarding selection of forms.

You agree to pay Legalfina the fee, costs and expenses as outlined in the forms you select during the selection process. Legalfina's fees do not include mandatory superior court filing fees. You may qualify for a fee waiver. If your case becomes contested or the court requires both parties go to settlement conference and/or mediation, there will be additional costs. You may need to hire any attorney to resolve your case, if your case becomes contested.

CANCELLATION: You may cancel this contract for any reason within 24 hours after you have agreed to these terms. If you cancel the contract, we must immediately refund any fees which you have paid. The only fees that we may keep are fees for services which have actually, necessarily and reasonably been performed on your behalf during the 24-hour period. If you download any of your forms, completed or not, it is considered a completion of our services. To cancel this contract within the terms period, send a written notice stating that you are cancelling the contract. You can send it by electronic mail to support@legalfina.com. Cancellation takes effect on the date and time of the electronic mail.

ATTORNEY'S FEES AND COSTS: Any dispute arising between you and Legalfina must go through litigation. In the event of suit for damages arising from this contract or to enforce any of its provisions, the court may award the prevailing party his or her reasonable attorney's fees and costs. The venue for any disputes about this contract is the county that Legalfina is licensed and bonded in.
