Section § 153

Explanation

In this law, it's saying that courts usually don't need to use their official seal on most documents or proceedings. However, there are exceptions where the seal is required: on a writ, a summons, and a warrant of arrest.

Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, the seal of a court need not be affixed to any proceeding therein, or to any document, except to the following:
(a)CA Civil Procedure Code § 153(a) A writ.
(b)CA Civil Procedure Code § 153(b) A summons.
(c)CA Civil Procedure Code § 153(c) A warrant of arrest.
