A person may not be imprisoned in a civil action for debt or tort, whether before or after judgment. Nothing in this section affects any power a court may have to imprison a person who violates a court order.

Section § 501
This law means you can't be jailed just because you owe someone money or did something wrong in a civil case, either before or after the court decides. However, if you disobey a court order, the court still has the power to put you in jail for that.
