Section § 7598.50

Explanation

This law section explains that the director has the authority to impose fines as detailed in the article, and these fines can be applied regardless of any other actions taken by different government agencies or the bureau related to a violation.

The director may assess fines as enumerated in this article pursuant to Section 7591.9. Assessment of administrative fines shall be independent of any other action by the bureau, or any local, state, or federal governmental agency, which may result from a violation of this article.

Section § 7598.51

Explanation

If you're working as an alarm agent, you need to have either a physical or digital copy of your registration card or a temporary application with you, along with a photo ID, while on duty. The temporary application should have the application number right on it. Digital copies, like a clear photo or screenshot of your registration, are acceptable. If you don't follow these rules, you could be fined $150 each time.

Section § 7598.53

Explanation

If you work as an alarm agent and respond to alarms, you need to wear something clearly showing your company's name. If you carry a weapon, you also have to wear a uniform that's easily identifiable and not like what local police wear. If you don't follow these rules, you could be fined $250 each time.

An alarm agent who responds to an alarm system shall wear a prominently displayed patch or other designation which clearly identifies the name of the licensee. An alarm agent who carries a deadly weapon while responding to an alarm system shall wear a recognizable uniform with a prominently displayed patch or other designation which clearly identifies the name of the licensee. The uniform must be distinguishable from the uniforms worn by local regular law enforcement officers. A violation of this section may result in a fine of two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for each violation.
