Alarm CompaniesAlarm Company Operators—licensed and Registered Locations
Section § 7599.20
This law defines what a 'branch office' means for alarm company operators. It's any other location besides their main office where alarm-related activities are managed. Using a phone answering service or call forwarding device doesn't count as a branch office.
Section § 7599.21
If you own an alarm company and want to keep an additional office in another location, you need to apply for permission and registration to do so.
Section § 7599.22
To register a branch office, you need to fill out a specific form provided by the director and pay a fee described in the chapter.
Section § 7599.23
If you're applying for a certain type of business license, you'll need to provide detailed info, such as your full name and contact details, the location's phone number, and your qualified manager's name and license number. If there's a branch office, the branch manager must be at least 18, be registered as an alarm agent, and confirm they've read specific laws. You also need to give the branch's address and phone number, with everything signed by the qualified manager.
Section § 7599.24
When someone applies to register a branch office, the chief is responsible for issuing a 'Branch Office Registration.' This registration must then be visibly displayed at the branch office.
Section § 7599.25
When a company with a branch office applies for registration, a designated manager must oversee it. However, the qualified manager, who is in charge of the main license, will still supervise the branch manager and office. The qualified manager can directly manage the branch office for up to 120 days after they first apply for the branch's registration.
Section § 7599.29
This law states that if you have a branch office registration, renewing it follows the same rules as renewing a license according to certain other sections.
